Two rivers
Total trip mileage about 1150 - (forgot to check)

We left our digs in Sankt Goar and had a steady ride up the Rhine to Koblenz. We were in no rush because the scenery was spectacular. At Koblenz we took a left and followed the Moselle to our digs in a little town called Klotten. Our host for the night comprised of a husband and wife. He was Dutch and she was Russian. He could not have been nicer but we got the impression he was glad to talk to us to avoid being hen pecked. She was in a bit of a flap because we had checked in early with it being a short riding day.

I did the usual ‘is there anywhere safe for my bike? ‘ and was offered an old abandoned shop they were converting into apartments. I literally rode into a shop front door and parked the mighty wing up. Our host was 67 years old and seemed to have no intention of slowing up. The project he had taken on with this shop was massive but he said he liked to keep busy.

Our taxi driver was a friendly sort ( aren’t they always) and dropped us off in the centre of coshem.

But eventually thirst got the better of us stopping for a cold one.
Not sure what is going on here but makes a good photo for the blog.

He ordered us a cab and when it turned up a lady jumped in it with us deciding she was going to bum a lift. Deb said the thought she had a picture of this woman on her phone and promptly shared with me in the back of the cab. It was an almost exact match.
